  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive engineering, quality, or reliability experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing technical processes, warranty projects, or cross-functional failure analysis teams.
  • Demonstrated understanding of general engine theory, failure modes, root-cause analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead technical processes and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to translate complex technical diagnostics into actionable engineering tasks.
  • Strong analytical judgment to determine resource allocation and intervention priorities for field issues.
  • Solid computer skills, including business intelligence software, spreadsheets, and data analytics productivity tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior direct supervisory experience is beneficial, though this role functions primarily as a manager of technical processes and projects rather than a direct people manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical containment and corrective action workflows by mobilizing cross-functional teams to address prioritized field risks.
  • Prepare monthly management review documentation, including warranty rate charts, trend metrics, and analytics dashboards, to evaluate product reliability.
  • Translate field technician diagnostics, customer feedback, and physical teardown findings into actionable engineering data.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resolution strategies with internal technical services, quality, sales, and product engineering teams.
  • Direct customer-facing technical quality reviews to track early indicators and support equipment manufacturer relationships.
  • Evaluate current product risks and incorporate warranty requirements into new product development projects to prevent design failures.
  • Analyze warranty trends tied to supplier quality issues to support financial cost recovery efforts. Conduct analyses of field returns to determine failure modes as a way to assist with determination of projects’ next steps.
  • Participate in annual strategic planning, warranty forecasting models, and long-term cost reduction initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
