Quality Project Manager

About The Position

The Quality Project Manager will lead quality system improvements, process development, and cross-functional initiatives supporting the growth of a strategic high-growth customer across two manufacturing sites. The role ensures that quality management systems and operational processes meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements while supporting business expansion and continued equivalency between the sites. As the primary quality project leader for the customer program, the manager aligns Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, and Leadership teams. The position requires influencing stakeholders without direct authority and delivering complex quality and operational improvement projects in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments. The manager leads QMS development and improvement, identifies and closes gaps related to customer requirements and AS9100, and coordinates standardized quality processes across both sites. The role also leads APQP and PPAP activities; oversees development and review of process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions, and inspection plans; supports FAI planning and execution under AS9102; and leads measurement system analysis, Gage R&R, and process capability activities. The role develops project schedules, milestones, and resource plans; reports status to leadership and stakeholders; manages risks and mitigation plans; and coordinates execution across the two program manufacturing sites. It also represents Quality in strategic customer initiatives and leads discussions about requirements, corrective actions, process readiness, and launch preparedness. Mativ describes its benefits as offering choices for employees and their families, with benefits that are high quality, competitive, and affordable.
