Mechanical Project Quality Manager
About The Position
Loenbro, LLC is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Project Quality Manager (Mechanical) to join their growing Industrial Quality team. This role is crucial for ensuring quality standards are met across various projects, working closely with engineering, construction, fabrication, and other departments to achieve aligned goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical construction, particularly with piping systems, structural steel, fabrication, and equipment installation, and possess a team-oriented mentality with a drive for continuous improvement. Familiarity with piping is a must.
Requirements
- Mechanical construction experience with piping systems, structural steel, fabrication, and equipment installation
- Current AWS CWI or ASNT VT II certification
- Strong knowledge of NDT methods with ASNT-SNT-TC-1A training/hours
- Experience generating turnover packages
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings
- Knowledge of key Industry codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ACI, AISC, NACE)
- 5+ years of Quality Control Inspector experience
- Experience working under a Quality Management Program
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
- High organizational skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities
Responsibilities
- Generate Weld Map Isometric drawings
- Perform Weld & piping Inspections
- Manage project turnover processes
- Enter welding and inspection information into tracking tools
- Assist with pressure testing plans
- Review and File NDE/NDT Reports
- Work with NDE personnel for planning and execution of work
- Assemble and review project documentation packages
- Perform and document inspections based on drawings, specifications, and procedures to determine compliance
- Test welders and perform weld inspections
- Review welding requirements and ensure welding procedures comply
- Create and implement Project Quality Assurance Plans
- Provide support and training to other inspectors
- Write inspection and test plans (I&TP’s)
- Plan and execute Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Reports
- Other duties as assigned to support business operations
