About The Position

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, delivering sustainable innovations that elevate everyday products. The role is based in South Brunswick, NJ (onsite). This is a detail-oriented, compliance-driven, collaborative role where you will support daily quality and food safety operations on the plant floor and assist the Supervisor Product Safety Site Leader in maintaining site compliance. You will maintain and update Food Safety Plans in accordance with FSMA, support the development and implementation of HACCP, SOPs, and SSOPs, and participate in food safety and quality committees. You will also partner with Production and Maintenance to troubleshoot quality issues, support equipment commissioning and process improvement initiatives, maintain accurate records for FDA and regulatory compliance, and interact cross-functionally to support audits and inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in food science, food microbiology, food safety or related field
  • Experience supporting quality and food safety programs in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the company and with suppliers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other software tools required for data entry and reporting
  • Working knowledge of FSMA, HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and SSOPs
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work hands-on and interface directly with plant floor teams
  • Experience training employees and contractors on food safety practices
  • Ability to support investigations and corrective actions
  • Effective communication skills across multiple functions

Nice To Haves

  • Certified in HACCP
  • PCQI certificate in Preventive Controls for Human and Animal Foods
  • Experience in FDA-regulated food or ingredient manufacturing
  • Audit experience using GFSI schemes; FSSC 22000 preferred
  • Active participation in food safety or quality committees
  • Involvement in equipment commissioning or process validation
