Quality Nurse - RN (Northern Illinois)
About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time CQI Specialist for its Regional Office team, serving the Illinois Department of Corrections. This remote/traveling position is based out of the regional office and requires the candidate to reside in Northern Illinois within commuting distance of the sites. The role involves visiting sites as needed approximately 2–4 days per week and occasional travel to Springfield, Illinois, for regional meetings. The Statewide CQI Specialist develops and implements the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program in alignment with the company’s mission and strategic goals, applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditation standards, and contractual requirements.
Requirements
- Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) or a bachelor's degree in a clinical or allied health field from an accredited institution.
- At least two years of experience in health information, quality, utilization, or risk management.
- Knowledge of statistics, data collection, analysis, and data presentation.
- Proficiency with computer software for maintaining statistics and developing reports.
- Excellent problem-solving and writing skills.
- Current, active certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must reside in Northern Illinois within commuting distance of the sites.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in a clinical or allied health field.
- Certification as a Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
- At least two years of experience in Quality Assurance/Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Experience in a correctional setting.
