About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Utilization Management Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Regional Team in Springfield, Illinois. The RN provides utilization review services for statewide systems by reviewing inpatient admissions and outpatient referrals to ensure appropriate levels of care and evaluate evidence-based medical necessity and quality of care. The position is with Centurion, provider of comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections, and requires the employee to be located in Illinois.
Requirements
- Hold an active RN license to practice in Illinois.
- Have previous experience performing utilization review in an inpatient or outpatient setting, or in a managed care setting.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS.
- Be able to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Be located in Illinois.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of RN work experience in a community outpatient clinic, hospital, or long-term care facility.
- Experience with InterQual.
- Corrections experience.
