As our Quality Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of quality control inspectors and technicians, overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position reports to the Quality Manager.

Requirements

Associate's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field or 3 years of relative experience.
Thorough understanding of aerospace quality standards and regulations, such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP, along with familiarity with industry-specific quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FAI, PPAP).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis, interpret technical drawings/specifications, and drive effective problem-solving initiatives.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of quality control inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure alignment with quality objectives.
Foster a culture of quality excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the quality control team.
Implement quality control procedures, standards, and inspection protocols to ensure compliance with company regulations and customer requirements.
Work with the Engineers and Managers to perform root cause analysis and investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and discrepancies, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, inspection results, and compliance documentation.
Generate comprehensive quality reports, metrics, and performance indicators to track quality trends, identify areas for improvement, and report findings to management.
Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and other departments to ensure effective communication and resolution of quality-related issues.
Participate in production meetings, and supplier evaluations to proactively address quality concerns and optimize product quality and reliability.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
Champion quality-related projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with respective departments in a way that leads by example, holds people accountable and utilizes data to make informed decisions.
Enforce and interpret the Quality and AS9100 QMS standards.
Involve supervisor with quality deficiencies.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
