About The Position

Under the direction of the Quality Department and in coordination with the Lab Technician, the Quality Lab Operator III supports critical product testing for the temperature-sensing product line and provides administrative support for quality assurance documentation in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Work includes tracking samples, performing tests, reviewing and organizing data, and conducting product testing and document and data review in compliance with AS9100 and MIL-STD-790.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant experience as an operator or technician.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to submit formal documents that comply with quality requirements.
• Knowledge of metrology tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and protocols.
• Strong computer skills, including email, Excel spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English with precise attention to detail.
• Applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Direct experience with laboratory testing and equipment.
• Experience in an ISO 9001, AS9100, or other regulated industry.
• Experience with data validation and/or document review.

Responsibilities

• Operate environmental exposure and other test equipment according to MIL document standards.
• Maintain equipment in good working order; keep it clean and monitor its calibration and preventive-maintenance status.
• Keep the laboratory organized and follow lab safety protocols.
• Hand-solder small components for testing.
• Enter data into control charts and report results.
• Validate data packets, including Certificates of Conformance (CofC) and test data, before release to customers.
• Maintain housekeeping in laboratory and production work areas.
• Perform other related duties as directed by management.
