About The Position

Christian Hospital Northeast Campus, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking an experienced Lab Associate III to join its laboratory team. This onsite role supports patient care and provides opportunities to build laboratory and phlebotomy skills in a collaborative healthcare environment. The position performs assigned pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic laboratory duties.

The role is a day shift position scheduled from 0500 to 1330. Phlebotomy experience is required. The employer highlights annual raises and growth and development opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and moderate-complexity testing with appropriate training and competency, as well as sweat chloride collections and EKGs.
• Report test results as appropriate under supervision.
• Sort and process routine and specialized high-level specimens received by the laboratory, including multistep technical processing in areas such as Histology, Microbiology, and Cytology.
• Ensure correct processing and packaging of esoteric send-out tests.
• Coordinate simultaneous tasks accurately, including STAT orders and workload fluctuations, prioritizing work to meet scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Manage inventory and clean, maintain, and load equipment.
