About The Position

Boeing Distribution, Inc. Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is looking for an Experienced Quality Inspector to join their team in Hialeah, FL. This role involves verifying product conformance to design requirements, providing objective evidence of results, and segregating/controlling non-conforming items. The inspector will perform preliminary reviews and dispositions of non-conformances. Under limited supervision, the inspector will inspect incoming parts/material, verify outgoing orders and certifications, check parts for processing, handle special orders, and use tools such as micrometers, gauge controls, and calipers daily. This position also provides mentorship to the Inspection team, conducts dimensional and visual inspections, and reviews/dispositions certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards, communicating with vendors as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator
  • 3+ years’ experience in QA inspection methods and procedures
  • Reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
  • Must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements

  • Inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc.
  • Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team
  • Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels
  • Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects
  • Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards
  • Communicate with vendor as needed
  • Disposition and control of on-conforming products
