About The Position

Boeing Distribution, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Quality Inspector to join their team in Enfield, CT. This role involves verifying product conformance to design requirements, providing objective evidence of results, and controlling non-conforming items. The inspector will perform preliminary reviews and dispositions of non-conformances. Under limited supervision, the individual will inspect incoming parts/material and outgoing orders, verify certifications, check parts for processing, and handle special orders. Daily use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, gauge controls, and calipers is expected. The role also includes providing mentorship to the Inspection team, conducting dimensional and visual inspections, and reviewing/disposing of certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards. Communication with vendors and disposition/control of non-conforming products are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

3+ years’ related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator.
3+ years’ experience in QA inspection methods and procedures reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam
Must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
Provides objective evidence of results
Segregates and controls non-conforming items. Perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
Inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc.
Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team.
Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels; Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects.
Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicate with vendor as needed.
Disposition and control of on-conforming products.
