About The Position

U.S. Boiler Company, headquartered in Lancaster, PA, designs, engineers, and manufactures residential and commercial heating products domestically, employing nearly 300 people. The company is a subsidiary of Burnham Holdings, Inc. They are seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team. This full-time position, located in Lancaster, PA, involves inspecting products at various stages of the production process to ensure quality and reliability.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to learn other mathematical functions, as needed, to perform other duties.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Knowledge of database software
• Knowledge of manufacturing software
• Knowledge of word processing software
• Basic Microsoft Word & Excel knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of quality inspection experience
• ASME experience
• Boiler experience

Responsibilities

• Reads & interprets engineering drawings/blueprint reading, schematic diagrams, bills of material and other documentation needed to perform inspections.
• Inspects boilers, sub-assemblies, kitted cartons, machine castings, and other components.
• Quarantines nonconforming product and writes nonconformance reports.
• Processes NC material per manager’s requests.
• Assists with testing of components or completed boilers.
• Assists with programming of controls.
• Uses various measuring equipment such as calipers, bore gauges, and thread gauges.
