This position is responsible for performing Quality inspection procedures on a variety of products. The incumbent must be able to read and write English, and interpret procedures, specifications, blueprints, and drawings. This role requires experience and adept skill in using a wide variety of measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, torque and radial clearance gages, verniers, and gage blocks. The individual will take direction from the Supervisor or Lead. This position requires good visual acuity skills to determine component compliance to drawings and procedures, including cosmetic and physical attributes like plating coverage, component marking, nicks, dents, and rust. This position is responsible for using a computer to document findings, locate drawings, procedures, and documents necessary to perform the job. Additionally, the role involves organizing, accurately filing, and scanning quality documentation and records for swift retrieval. Discrepancies found must be reported to the supervisor or lead. The individual must document well to keep appropriate records, maintain a neat and clean area, and will periodically move parts from one department to another.
