About The Position

The Quality Inspector performs basic to moderately complex quality inspections on products both within and at the end of the manufacturing process including recording, tracking, and reporting the results of the inspections and helping to implement corrective actions. This position may also review, verify, and update documentation on completed parts.

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret procedures and determine if non-conformities exist
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices
  • Ability to interpret quality standards, specifications and drawings and apply them when evaluating product
  • Familiarity with measurement tool use for measurements of mechanical parts.
  • Ability to interact professionally with others on the team and support groups
  • PC skills – basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook and Excel preferred.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience a plus.
  • ASQ, CMI, CQA Certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs inspections on parts and completed products, to ensure quality standards are maintained. Parts inspections will include mechanical parts and PCB assemblies.
  • Review of quality records.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and data sheets on in-process and end-of-line inspection failures
  • Performs first article inspections on products
  • Reports results in a clear format on a regular basis
  • Assists in identifying root cause and corrective actions and co-owns the implementation of corrective actions
  • Reports quality issues to production supervisor or lead and maintains confidentiality.
  • May assist in training others
  • May assist in documentation updates.
  • Other duties as required
