Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for a QA Inspector. Job Location: Attleboro, Ma. Summary: Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ Quality Control experience in Inspection is preferred.
- Use computerized data collection equipment and software to record inspection data and generate process capability and other SQC charts.
- Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, force gages.
- Evaluate and complete special customer quality assurance requirements (i.e., first article inspection, SPC charts and data and other customer paperwork)
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, and must understand the x, y, z coordinate system.
- This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations. As such, this position is open only to applicants who qualify as “U.S. Persons” according to U.S. federal law.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems a plus.
- Knowledge of Keyence inspection machine a plus.
- General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word a plus.
Responsibilities
- Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; when applicable, returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
- Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.
- Makes recommendations for new procedures.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
- Evaluate problems and make recommendations.
- Participates in the Corrective Action process.
