Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for a QA Inspector. Job Location: Attleboro, Ma. Summary: Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ Quality Control experience in Inspection is preferred.
  • Use computerized data collection equipment and software to record inspection data and generate process capability and other SQC charts.
  • Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, force gages.
  • Evaluate and complete special customer quality assurance requirements (i.e., first article inspection, SPC charts and data and other customer paperwork)
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, and must understand the x, y, z coordinate system.
  • This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations. As such, this position is open only to applicants who qualify as “U.S. Persons” according to U.S. federal law.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems a plus.
  • Knowledge of Keyence inspection machine a plus.
  • General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; when applicable, returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.
  • Makes recommendations for new procedures.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Evaluate problems and make recommendations.
  • Participates in the Corrective Action process.
