About The Position

Quality Inspector III is a highly skilled quality role responsible for verifying product conformity, supporting operational control, and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) within a manufacturing environment. This position performs advanced inspections, ensures accurate and complete quality records, supports nonconformance management and corrective actions, and serves as a technical resource and mentor to inspection personnel. The role contributes directly to audit readiness, process effectiveness, and continual improvement. This position reports to Quality Assurance Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Franklin, NH.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
  • 6+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing responsibility
  • Advanced capability interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
  • Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection equipment
  • Strong understanding of nonconformance control, inspection records, and audit expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor or support other inspectors
  • Strong attention to detail, decision‑making, and documentation discipline
  • Ability to reinforce compliance with quality and environmental requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 certified manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits
  • Familiarity with SPC, data analysis, and problem‑solving methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced inspection and testing of raw materials, in‑process products, and finished goods to verify conformity to specifications, drawings, control plans, and standard work.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) requirements to ensure accurate acceptance and rejection decisions.
  • Ensure inspection activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures and documented instructions.
  • Support production flow while maintaining integrity of quality acceptance criteria.
  • Identify, document, and contain nonconforming material in accordance with established procedures.
  • Initiate and document nonconformance records accurately and ensure proper disposition.
  • Support immediate containment actions and communicate quality risks to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Record inspection results accurately, ensuring data integrity, traceability, and completeness.
  • Utilize appropriate inspection and measuring equipment and verify measurement accuracy as required.
  • Support analysis of inspection data to identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunity.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to quality issues.
  • Provide technical input based on inspection findings and process observations.
  • Verify effectiveness of corrective actions through follow‑up inspection and validation activities as assigned.
  • Ensure inspection records and related quality documentation are completed, maintained, and retained according to company and ISO requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing inspection records, objective evidence, and clear explanations of inspection practices.
  • Always maintain inspection documentation in an audit‑ready state.
  • Perform inspection activities in a manner that supports environmental policies, procedures, and site controls.
  • Follow established environmental requirements related to material handling, waste identification, and spill prevention.
  • Identify and communicate potential environmental risks observed during inspection or production activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Quality Inspector I and II personnel.
  • Assist with training and onboarding by reinforcing inspection methods, quality standards, and documented procedures.
  • Promote consistent application of inspection criteria and standard work across shifts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inspection methods, controls, or documentation processes.
  • Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives, Kaizen events, and improvement teams.
  • Reinforce a culture of quality, accountability, and environmental responsibility on the shop floor.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support quality system effectiveness and operational objectives.
