About The Position

We are seeking a Quality Inspector with expertise in electromechanical systems, particularly cooling systems. This role involves ensuring the quality of incoming, in-process, and final inspections of critical components and assemblies. You will be responsible for verifying inspection equipment and methodologies, auditing against inspection plans, and providing detailed reports on manufacturing progress and supplier performance. A key aspect of this role is supporting customer witness tests, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and ensuring equipment compliance before shipment to Data Centers. You will act as an on-site representative for Google, inspecting mechanical assemblies and interpreting wiring diagrams.

Requirements

  • Experience inspecting electromechanical components, preferably cooling systems.
  • Welding experience and inspection techniques of weld integrity.
  • 5 years of professional experience OR 3 years with ASME or CWI certification.
  • Ability to read diagrams for wiring assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection of products or services from external providers (e.g., nickel plating).
  • Conduct in-process and final inspection of critical features, including witness inspections.
  • Compile final inspection sign-off sheets and report packages.
  • Verify that inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects.
  • Ensure inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent.
  • Audit and validate the execution of the inspection plan.
  • Provide weekly reports on manufacturing site ramp progress, equipment quality performance, and delivery details by Data Center site.
  • Conduct periodic quality audits of supplier factories and report results.
  • Drive closure of non-conformance findings.
  • Ensure suppliers' quality control systems document findings.
  • Provide customer witness for test scripts, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment.
  • Validate equipment acceptability and compliance with the Level 1 commissioning process (Red/Orange tags) before shipment.
  • Act as an on-site support representative for Google.
  • Inspect rivets and mechanical assemblies.
  • Read diagrams for wiring assembly.
