About The Position

This role involves performing various types of inspections on electromechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet quality standards and drawing specifications. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for incoming, in-process, and final inspections, as well as conducting supplier audits and providing on-site support. This position requires a strong understanding of quality control processes, inspection techniques, and the ability to document findings and drive corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Experience with inspecting electromechanical components, preferably cooling systems.
  • Welding experience and inspection techniques of weld integrity.
  • 5 years of professional experience OR 3 years with ASME or CWI certification.
  • Ability to read diagrams for wiring assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection of products or services from external providers (e.g., nickel plating).
  • Conduct in-process and final inspection of critical features, including witness inspections.
  • Compile final inspection sign-off sheets and report packages.
  • Verify that inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects.
  • Verify that inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent.
  • Audit and validate the execution of the inspection plan.
  • Provide weekly reports on manufacturing site ramp progress, equipment quality performance, and delivery details by Data Center site.
  • Conduct periodic quality audits of suppliers' factories and report results.
  • Drive closure of non-conformance findings.
  • Ensure suppliers' quality control systems document findings.
  • Provide customer witness for test scripts, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment.
  • Validate equipment acceptability, ensuring compliance with the Level 1 commissioning process (Red/Orange tags) before shipment to the Data Center.
  • Act as on-site support representing Google.
  • Inspect rivets and mechanical assemblies.
  • Read diagrams for wiring assembly.
