About The Position

We are seeking a bright, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with an auditing background or other relevant experience to join the Quality Assurance team. This role focuses on researching and analyzing regulations, conducting internal audits and investigations, and assessing whether programs meet regulatory and quality standards. The position is full time, based in Brooklyn, and requires travel to scattered sites within New York City and/or Nassau County, Long Island. A valid New York or New Jersey driver’s license and full use of the employee’s own vehicle are required. Salary is commensurate with experience and proven skills, within a stated range of $45,000 to $65,000.

Requirements

Strong research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A valid New York or New Jersey driver’s license and full use of own vehicle.
Auditing, compliance, quality assurance, investigative, or related experience is preferred.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and/or Excel spreadsheets is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Research and analyze government regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
Conduct internal audits of agency departments that provide services to individuals with psychiatric or developmental disabilities.
Review documentation and practices to assess compliance with applicable regulations and agency standards.
Conduct investigations related to matters referred to the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs.
Prepare clear and thorough findings and assist with identifying areas for improvement.
