This role works within Quality Management Services and is a full-time position on the first shift. The Quality Improvement Coordinator will collaborate with the Director of Quality and other trauma program staff to develop, implement, and sustain a comprehensive quality improvement program. This includes educating physicians and staff on trauma-related topics. The coordinator will assist the Director of Quality in identifying and resolving issues within the trauma quality program, ensuring compliance with quality improvement initiatives, and reviewing records for abstraction. They will also support trauma program staff in accreditation readiness, gather data for regulatory and accrediting agencies, and evaluate trauma reports to identify improvement opportunities and assess risk issues. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of data and regulatory requirements is crucial. The role involves participating in staff meetings, providing in-service training, and supporting the IT team in optimizing electronic medical record systems and clinical tools. Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaborative skills are essential for interacting with diverse populations, team members, and external customers.
