About The Position

The Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for supporting and implementing initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and safety of patient care within the healthcare organization. This role collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to assess, monitor, and improve healthcare processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and best practices. Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center located in Woodbridge, VA is a 183-bed not-for-profit hospital that combines the resources of a major health system with the compassionate, personalized care of a community hospital. We offer quiet, private rooms and quality care focused on safety and patient satisfaction. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Registered Nurse license valid in the state of practice required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement projects and initiatives aimed at improving patient care, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports on quality data, identifying trends and areas for improvement in patient outcomes, satisfaction, and safety.
  • Collaborates with clinical and operational teams to implement evidence-based practices and process improvements that align with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Provides education and training to staff on quality improvement tools, methodologies, and patient safety protocols.
