About The Position

The Quality Engineering Technician performs intermediate‑level inspection and quality assurance activities to ensure products, components, and processes meet established specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. This role supports receiving, in‑process, and final inspections; shipping reviews; nonconformance investigations; and calibration coordination. The Quality Inspector works with minimal oversight and provides technical support to production and engineering teams. In this role, you play a critical part in ensuring that products, components, and processes meet all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Your work directly supports production flow, customer satisfaction, and compliance by identifying issues early, preventing defects, and maintaining accurate quality records.

Requirements

  • GED, Trade School certification, relevant technical experience, or Associate of Engineering Science (A.E.S.)
  • 4+ years of relevant experience without a degree, or 2+ years with an A.E.S. or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of quality and engineering principles
  • Proficiency in advanced measurement, testing, and inspection techniques
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and industry standards
  • Skilled in preparing detailed inspection reports and documentation
  • Familiarity with regulatory and customer requirements
  • Ability to troubleshoot quality issues and provide technical support
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on established criteria

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials and components
  • Conduct in‑process inspections during manufacturing to verify conformance
  • Complete final inspections prior to product release
  • Perform shipping reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance before shipment
  • Identify, document, and support resolution of nonconforming material (NCMR)
  • Assist Quality Engineers with root‑cause analysis and corrective action activities when needed
  • Maintain accurate and complete inspection records and documentation
  • Assist with coordination and maintenance the calibration schedule for inspection tools and equipment
  • Ensure calibrated equipment is available, properly maintained, and compliant
  • Provide inspection‑related technical support to production and engineering teams
  • Communicate inspection results and quality concerns clearly and professionally
  • Plan and prioritize inspection tasks to meet production and shipping schedules
  • Perform complex inspections and make informed decisions with minimal supervision
