This position is directly responsible for documenting, managing, implementing and institutionalizing the various Quality Control activities at the project site. The Quality Engineering Manager will control documents and records, manage nonconforming installation, and initiate, follow-up, and close corrective and preventive actions. They will document and implement the Quality Plan tailored to project specifications/contractual requirements, and partner with the project team in understanding the complete scope of work for the project. The role involves establishing and leading the 3-Phase Quality Control Process, collecting data from internal inspections, initiating/assigning/managing Discrepancy Notices, Corrective Action Reports, and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA). The manager will identify and provide solutions to project-specific issues, manage the punch list identification and closeout process, and establish and lead quality initiatives for the project. Additionally, they will participate in the review of Engineering deliverables, provide oversight and coordinate 3rd party peer design and testing agencies, and participate in daily Operational Risk Management (ORM) meetings. The role also includes assessing project performance, performing receipt inspections, and participating in internal audits. Key responsibilities also involve contract document review for compliance, reviewing design documents for constructability and contract compliance, implementing the 3-Phase Quality Control approach, creating project-specific installation checklists, performing detailed inspections, collecting and analyzing data for continuous improvement, participating in daily safety meetings, attending project meetings, and managing quality or commissioning punch-lists with direct interface with GC/Owner.
