About The Position

The Quality Engineering Manager will provide leadership to ensure employees demonstrate appropriate demeanor, technical accuracy, efficiency, and conformity to company policies and procedures. This role involves providing feedback to leaders in field service, manufacturing, engineering, and QAR teams regarding quality, design, or additional recommendations. The manager will assume ownership of the relationship between the supplier-partner and the company for assigned commodities, managing quality issues, supporting new product introductions, scheduling business reviews, and owning the overall communication flow with assigned supplier-partners. A key responsibility is to continuously improve new product development (NPD) processes for effective product rollouts. The role requires utilizing leading approaches such as TQM, RCA, SPC, Six Sigma, Design of Experiments, and FMEA to improve quality. Collaboration with engineering and manufacturing on product specifications is essential to ensure the quality and reliability of finished products. The position involves using inspection equipment including proscale measuring tools, optical metrology systems, and water penetration testing. Participation in annual performance reviews is also a duty.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related discipline
  • 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in continuous quality improvement, encompassing quality assurance and quality control from an enterprise-wide standpoint

Responsibilities
