Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship.
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

  • Majors Targeted: Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related majors.

Responsibilities

  • Work on engineering projects related to development of new products (Advanced Quality).
  • Focus on human factors engineering, risk management, application of statistics, reliability engineering, design verification, and design validation including customer interaction (Advanced Quality).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product sustainment (Process Quality).
  • Perform robust root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions for non-conforming issues in production (Process Quality).
  • Optimize production, inspection, and quality system processes using tools like CAD for fixture design, root cause analysis methods, LabView, and validation activities (Process Quality).
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure components and their manufacturing processes meet required standards (Supplier Quality).
  • Influence suppliers using technical background and communication skills (Supplier Quality).
  • Work closely with internal customers from multiple functions and meet with suppliers frequently (Supplier Quality).
  • Ensure development and sustainment of products with the highest quality by working with internal cross-functional teams and external sales teams and customers (Quality).
  • Evaluate risk, ensure customer user needs are met, and help drive craftsmanship, safety, durability, and reliability into the product (Quality).
  • Handle complaints and implement design changes as needed to address quality issues on the post-market side, working closely with regulatory (Quality).
