About The Position

As the Quality Engineer for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) team, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, and procedures. You will partner with design and production teams to deliver flawless products. This role involves reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes, analyzing and resolving process issues, and driving corrective actions. You will also lead program corrective-action meetings and participate in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards. Additionally, you will perform assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and standards, and interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues while applying lean initiatives for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a STEM related field or higher.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Must obtain an interim secret prior to start.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in a STEM related field and 2+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEAs, and Root Cause and Corrective Action processes.
  • Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods.
  • Discrete and/or Micro-electronics experience.
  • J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 familiarization.
  • ASQ CQE.
