About The Position

This role leads process improvement tools and methods, including 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time-and-motion studies, to eliminate quality losses and deviations within a Distribution Center. It aligns with the Network Process Structure and Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs. The position delivers expected functional area results through KPI analysis, quality loss elimination, and the creation of standard work to reduce process variation. It assists with the review, execution, and response of quality-focused process improvement projects owned by area managers. The role compiles and submits deviations to existing One Best Way playbooks and provides input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities. It also assists with the tactical deployment of the Quality Excellence WPS methodology, manages execution of projects addressing top quality losses, and builds improvement capability across area managers and associates. Additionally, it assists in developing area quality loss profiles, performance metrics, and gap analyses to support WPS integration. The role leads quality-related savings projects within the area of responsibility by eliminating process losses and supports Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or prior experience in Quality or Process Improvement OR 2 years' of relevant work experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Co-Op/Internship in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Distribution with experience applying basic Lean/Continuous Improvement Tools
  • Possess applied knowledge of a functioning Quality Management System elements including Statistical Process Control, FMEA, Quality KPIs, etc
