Supply Chain Engineer

MicronBoise, ID

About The Position

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. As a Supply Chain Engineer you will design and improve end-to-end supply chain processes across planning, execution, and customer-facing workflows, with attention to upstream and downstream impacts. You will map current and future-state processes using systems thinking, value-stream mapping, and dependency analysis to simplify complexity and reduce friction. In this role you will define clear, structured business and functional requirements for S/4 and connected platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder, RapidResponse, Teamcenter), including AI-enabled improvements. You will also partner with IT, data, and platform teams to ensure system logic, data models, and user experience align with intended outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Business Systems, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in supply chain engineering, supply chain systems, planning, logistics, or process improvement.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ECC or S/4 in at least one supply chain domain.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured requirements and scalable solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with planning or optimization platforms (e.g., IBP, SPO, RapidResponse, Blue Yonder).
  • Exposure to analytics, automation, or AI-enabled solutions in an enterprise context.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex system or data behavior in practical business terms.
  • Comfort operating in a fast paced, global environment with evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze supply chain health metrics (e.g., plan quality, cycle time, service, constraints, data quality) and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Leverage analytics, automation, and AI-assisted tooling to improve root-cause analysis, scenario evaluation, and decision transparency.
  • Contribute to the development and adoption of AI agents, copilots, and automated workflows that reduce manual effort, codify tribal knowledge, and improve consistency.
  • Help ensure AI-enabled solutions are explainable, governed, and trusted, especially in planning-critical and customer-impacting processes.
  • Lead or contribute to initiatives involving multiple functions across Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Commercial, and IT partners.
  • Support integration testing, validation, and readiness for new capabilities, including regression testing and operational handoff.
  • Contribute to training materials, playbooks, and documentation that enable scale and reduce reliance on heroics.
  • Act as a senior individual contributor — influencing outcomes through expertise, clarity, and collaboration rather than formal authority.

Benefits

  • Choice of medical, dental and vision plans in all locations enabling team members to select the plans that best meet their family healthcare needs and budget.
  • Benefit programs that help protect your income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury.
  • Paid family leave.
  • Robust paid time-off program.
  • Paid holidays.
