About The Position

You will be the Quality Engineer Senior for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) in Grand Prairie, Texas. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured, repaired, and procured products meet or exceed design and process requirements. As the Quality Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for providing quality engineering expertise to support the program's quality objectives, leveraging your experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, and procedures. You will play a critical role in analyzing and resolving process issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality products are delivered to customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s level degree or higher in STEM and / or equivalent experience / combined education.
  • Generally 3 + years of related experience in Mechanical or Electrical quality engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause and corrective action investigations using causal analysis tools.
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.
  • Hands on experience dealing with inspection of hardware and rework/repair of hardware.
  • Effective communication skills, written, oral, listening, technical writing.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Experience in disposition of non-conforming products.
  • ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt).
  • Experience with use of manufacturing, inspection gages or measuring equipment.
  • Experience working with Government customers and suppliers in a sustainment environment.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes
  • Analyzing quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging
  • Leading program parts review and corrective action meetings
  • Performing assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Evaluating design assurance activities and production process methodology
  • Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues
  • Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement
