About The Position

The Quality Engineer III works with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing and product support to spearhead end-to-end product quality activities and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 5-7 years experience in Quality Engineering
  • Strong background in robotics and/or semiconductor equipment
  • Strong knowledge of reliability modeling and apportionment
  • Solid understanding of GR&R, HALT, HASS, F47, ESD, EMC, and ISTA testing
  • Proficient with instrumentation and computer tools for data collection
  • Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong project management skills
  • Previous knowledge in digital system development building process workflows, tasks, and notifications
  • Excellent communication, adaptability, organization & time management skills with the ability to work with various stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Engineering
  • CQE and CRE Certification
  • Ability to speak and/or read Japanese
  • Solid understanding of the SEMI standards
  • Certification in MES, Six Sigma Black Belt, Digital Manufacturing & Design Technology (DM&DT)
  • Expert in quality engineering with background in QMS implementation, improvements and rollout

Responsibilities

  • Drives quality at the product & process level ensuring the delivery of high-quality products for KRI customers
  • Investigates product failures, determines root cause, generates containment, plans and implements corrective actions
  • Collaborates with engineering, customer program management, and supply chain on quality defect resolution
  • Performs error code analysis and troubleshooting, data compilation, analysis and presentation
  • Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical failures and malfunctions and reports findings
  • Performs failure analysis and drives 8Ds to closure
  • Analyzes NC trends, yield, QPPM and generates quality scorecards
  • Initiates CIPs and process improvement projects and completes them in alignment with org. vision.
  • Analyzes current and future needs & generates/releases relevant work instructions and quality procedures.
  • Analyzes identified processes in detail using lean tools (i.e. VSM) to identify problem areas and potential solutions.
  • Conducts internal and external factory audits
  • Executes and completes special projects as required
  • Supports and lead process improvement activities in cross-functional environments to help improve quality
  • Writes reports and present project status
  • Interfaces with customers on deliverables and manages programs
  • All other duties as assigned
