About The Position

The San Marcos, TX facility is looking to hire Quality Engineer II. Relocation assistance will be provided.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of quality assurance experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office 365 products.
  • Experience in root cause and corrective action investigations.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Net Inspect
  • Experience in Internal Audit
  • Previous experience in Material Review Board (MRB) with dispositioning of nonconforming.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, AS9100
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI).

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality engineering support, conduct technical investigations, and implement immediate risk containment measures and systemic mistake proof solutions to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Generates, manages, and presents/reports Key Process Indicators (KPIs) for the site including but not limited to: Scrap Rework Repair, Pareto by Defects, Repeat/Defects Per Unit, First Pass Yield, all Escapes, Audit Findings, etc.
  • Well versed in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and able to recommend various Inspection Methodologies for proper inspection of hardware.
  • Able to draft technical documents (e.g.: Inspection Plans, local Work Instructions, Controlled procedures, Standard Illustrated Plannings, etc.).
  • Identifies and manages risk in product development primarily utilizing and driving PPAP core elements (e.g.: Process Flow Diagrams, Measurement System Analysis, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and Process Control Plan, etc.).
  • Interfaces with audits (e.g. internal, external, customer, regulatory, etc.) as a point of contact.
