About The Position

The Quality Coordinator is an individual contributor responsible for supporting quality control processes within the distribution center. This role focuses on managing quality holds (Q-Holds), ensuring compliance with company standards, and partnering with operations to improve overall product quality and reduce errors. The Quality Coordinator plays a key role in identifying trends, driving corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and employee accountability.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a distribution, warehouse, and/or other material handling environment.
  • Previous forklift and/or order picker equipment (MHE) operation experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with SAP
  • Must have basic computer skills, Outlook, Excel, Word
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with the following software: Manhattan Warehouse Management System, Vista, Q-Pulse, SalesForce and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior Eaton Product knowledge.
  • Prior experience as a coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and track all Q-Holds to ensure timely resolution and minimal operational disruption
  • Investigate root causes of holds and partner with operations to determine corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper disposition of held inventory
  • Monitor aging Q-Hold inventory and escalate risks to the Quality Manager
  • Inspect returned merchandise for condition and quality
  • Determine appropriate product disposition
  • Execute required system transactions and documentation
  • Conduct routine quality audits across inbound, outbound, and inventory processes
  • Ensure adherence to company, customer, and regulatory quality standards
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to reduce defects and errors
  • Support implementation of standard work and quality procedures
  • Track and report key quality metrics such as: Defect rates, Error frequency (picking, packing, labeling, etc.), Q-Hold volume and resolution cycle time
  • Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to the Quality Manager and operations leadership
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and dashboards to support data-driven decision making
  • Partner with operations teams to implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
  • Support root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing rework, waste, and defects
  • Assist with training employees on quality standards, processes, and best practices
  • Reinforce accountability and consistency in following procedures
  • Serve as a resource for associates and supervisors regarding quality expectations
