About The Position

The Quality Controller Inspector 2 inspects and tests subassemblies and top-level devices to determine whether they conform to defined and functional requirements. The position maintains inspection throughput to meet delivery requirements and typically works under close supervision and direction. The inspector also maintains inspection and test status of material as set forth by the QC Manager.

Requirements

Familiarity with appropriate desk instructions and process flows.
Ability to read and interpret part drawings, data specifications, and test and inspection instructions.
Ability to use hand measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and multimeters.
Ability to use Windows-based programs.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the workday.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand repeatedly during the workday.
20/20 vision or vision correctable to 20/20, and normal color vision.

Responsibilities

Inspect subassemblies to determine conformance to requirements.
Test subassemblies and top-level devices to determine conformance to functional requirements.
Make accept/reject decisions using logical decision criteria based on inspection and test instructions.
Retrieve drawings, inspection instructions, and part specifications in electronic or hard-copy form.
Locate software release information to confirm installation of the correct released version.
Maintain inspection requirements for production and shipping schedules, including end-of-day requirements to meet urgent schedule needs.
Verify daily that current instructions and specifications are being used.
Maintain a minimum 0.8 Cost Performance Index on work orders and provide comprehensive justification when the minimum index is unachievable.
Maintain inspection and test status of material as set forth by the QC Manager.
