About The Position

The Quality Controller Inspector 2 inspects and tests subassemblies and top-level devices to determine whether they conform to defined requirements. The role maintains inspection throughput to meet delivery requirements and typically works under close supervision and direction. The inspector uses inspection and test instructions to make accept/reject decisions, confirms that current specifications and software releases are in use, and helps meet production and shipping schedules.

Requirements

Familiarity with appropriate desk instructions and process flows.
Ability to read and interpret part drawings, data specifications, and test and inspection instructions.
Ability to use hand measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and multimeters.
Ability to use Windows-based programs.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the workday.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand repeatedly during the workday.
20/20 vision or vision correctable to 20/20, and normal color vision.

Responsibilities

Inspect subassemblies to determine conformance to requirements.
Test subassemblies and top-level devices for conformance to functional requirements.
Make accept/reject decisions using logical criteria based on inspection and test instructions.
Retrieve drawings, inspection instructions, and part specifications in electronic or hard-copy form.
Locate software release information to confirm installation of the correct released version.
Maintain inspection throughput and requirements for production and shipping schedules, including urgent end-of-day needs.
Verify daily that current instructions and specifications are in use.
Maintain a minimum 0.8 Cost Performance Index on work orders, providing comprehensive justification when that minimum cannot be achieved.
Maintain inspection and test status of material as directed by the QC manager.
