About The Position
This position is a non-safety sensitive role at Mathis Mattress Manufacturing. The primary responsibilities involve organizing and moving finished mattresses and box springs, inspecting products for defects, and maintaining a clean work area. The role operates in a fast-paced, production line environment.
Requirements
- Ability to lift merchandise of 50 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Knowledge of employment and safety procedures.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
- Lifting to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. constantly to move objects.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Organize and carry finished and wrapped mattresses and box springs to pallets according to size, store, and stops.
- Inspect products for defects.
- Keep area clean and organized.
