About The Position

The Quality Control Technician at Kurt J. Lesker Company (KJLC) is responsible for performing visual, dimensional, and leak inspections on standard and complex manufactured components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements. This role works cross‑functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Supervision, and provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior inspectors as needed. This position is ideal for a hands‑on quality professional with experience in mechanical inspection, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation, and manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • 1–5 years of experience in Quality Inspection, Mechanical Inspection, Manufacturing, or Engineering
  • Working knowledge of CMM operation
  • Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Strong proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience with first article, in‑process, and final inspection
  • Basic understanding of a Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Proficient with computer systems and quality software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vacuum leak detection or leak testing methods

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and leak inspections using established quality inspection methods and tools
  • Verify material, component, and assembly compliance to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Inspect standard and complex parts in accordance with first article, in‑process, and final inspection requirements
  • Accurately complete inspection reports, logs, and quality documentation
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality policies related to assigned work
  • Execute work assignments and technical instructions with minimal supervision
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Supervisors, and Manufacturing to resolve quality issues and prioritize work
  • Provide technical support, training, and mentoring to junior inspectors
  • Support compliance with the company Quality Management System (QMS) and HR policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
