About The Position

The Quality Control Technician monitors bottle quality to support customer satisfaction and performs inspections and tests across production lines. The role uses testing equipment, conducts first-article and line inspections, records quality results, and works with production personnel to address defects. The posting lists third-shift hours of Monday through Friday, usually including most Saturdays, from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. It also lists second-shift hours of Monday through Friday, usually including most Saturdays, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay may vary based on relevant experience.

Requirements

• Possess basic math and writing skills.
• Be able to read, understand, and apply work instructions and job aids.
• Be able to use required testing equipment, including handheld calipers when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Continually monitor bottle quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform leak detector and vision system checks.
• Test all lines, including finish measurements, wall thickness, top load, bottle height and panel widths, drop tests, weight, visual and bottle-integrity inspections, volume, and overflow.
• Use a caliper, scale, and height gauge.
• Troubleshoot testing equipment at a basic level.
• Perform line inspections.
• Place nonconforming product on hold, tag each pallet, and ensure the product is isolated and moved to the designated hold area.
• Work with machine operators, supervisors, and others to correct defective conditions.
• Conduct first-article inspections on new products, new molds, and at line start-ups.
• Maintain quality records.
