About The Position

Under the direction of the Quality & Safety Manager, this role oversees packaging operations and personnel to ensure the production of high-quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards for quality and performance. The position adheres to customer specifications and delivery requirements, operating in accordance with Pregis policies and procedures. The QA Inspector ensures continuous quality monitoring during production, guides workflow by monitoring the packaging workforce's quality inspections and packaging process, and performs quality inspections at regularly prescribed intervals, documenting findings across multiple production lines. This role also assists employees in the department with performing their duties correctly and helps the team operate at or above designated run speeds.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish bilingual a plus.
  • High school education or equivalent technical school preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment and/or inspection role preferred.
  • Knowledge of packaging production SOPs and Quality Standards a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document hourly inspections and run profiles, retaining samples per EverTec Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor mailer production, including packaging, for defects and inaccuracies per EverTec quality standards; correct and report any non-conformities and initiate hold procedure when needed in collaboration with Team Lead and Shift Supervisor.
  • Train Packers on EverTec Quality Assurance (QA) SOP; regularly conduct audits to ensure quality inspections are being performed.
  • Work with Packaging Team Lead and Operations to resolve issues per EverTec QA SOPs.
  • Communicate effectively with the upcoming shift to ensure a smooth handoff; maintain open dialogue with staff to minimize delays.
  • Help to identify raw material defects, capture relevant information (lot codes, samples, etc.), and forward to the Quality Manager.
