About The Position

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for carrying out policies and procedures as implemented by EB, including GMPs, food safety, and quality, to ensure the facility is always "audit ready." This role involves monitoring and documenting compliance with various standards, implementing corrective actions for non-compliance, and reporting any food safety or quality issues immediately to management. The position requires weekend availability and may involve training new hires on GMP procedures.

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

Food manufacturing experience preferred
Outlook, Word and Excel preferred
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Carrying out policies and procedures as implemented by EB including GMPs, food safety, and quality to always keep facility “audit ready”
Reporting violations to Production Lead or Supervisor, and to QA & Production Managers if repeat violations occur.
Verifying policy, procedure and standard compliance through monitoring and documentation, including Net Weight, Metal Detection, QC Checks, Retention Sample Log, Hold Log, Label Verifications & Misc. Paperwork.
Implementing corrective actions for non-compliance to policy and procedure and standards variance.
Pulling retention samples and storing them in appropriate places with appropriate information logged.
Inspecting equipment at the beginning of production day & throughout the day for cleanliness and safe use.
Placing out of spec items on hold as needed.
Identifying quality and food safety issues.
Performing GMP training to new hires & refresher training as needed.
Reporting any food safety or quality issues immediately to Management.
Other projects as assigned.
