About The Position

Winpak Lane is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our Manufacturing team in Rialto, California. This role involves coordinating engineering changes, inspecting products and components, analyzing quality data, and resolving nonconformances. It offers broad exposure to Engineering and Operations and is ideal for an experienced quality professional who enjoys combining hands-on inspection with process improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of quality control experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and inspection requirements.
  • Experience using precision gauges and measurement equipment and documenting inspection results.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 quality environment and managing nonconformance or corrective-action records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and walk, sit, or stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Machining or machine-shop experience, including CNC mills, lathes, honing, deburring, or assembly.
  • Technical certification in quality, machining, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems and Lean Six Sigma methods.
  • Knowledge of military and American National Standards Institute sampling or inspection standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering change orders for new releases, design changes, and obsolete engineering data.
  • Inspect and test components, trial products, and finished goods against drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Record and analyze test data to determine conformance and recommend production-process improvements.
  • Create and track nonconformance reports, supplier corrective actions, and corrective/preventive actions as required by the quality system.
  • Prepare recurring reports and analysis for scrap, customer complaints, engineering changes, and other quality measures.
  • Use precision inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, coordinate measuring machines, and profilometers.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, suppliers, and other stakeholders to communicate findings and support timely resolution.
  • Follow safety and quality procedures and support key measures for safety, quality, inventory, delivery, and productivity.
