About The Position

Winpak Lane is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our Manufacturing team in Rialto, California. You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components used in custom packaging machinery. This role is well suited to a safety-minded machinist who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and solving machining challenges.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of CNC machining or closely related machine-shop experience.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, dimensions, and machining specifications.
• Working knowledge of machining tools, shop math, inspection practices, and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform the standing, reaching, bending, and visual work required in a machine-shop environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• Trade-school certificate or technical training in machining, machine-tool technology, or a related field.
• Experience with manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, or vertical/horizontal cutoff saws.
• Experience mentoring less-experienced machinists or improving machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes for diversified machining operations.
• Load or transfer programs, mount fixtures and cutters, and make required control settings.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, depth of cut, tooling, and setups to meet blueprint specifications.
• Fabricate, inspect, and deburr parts for capital-equipment machinery.
• Perform in-process inspections and verify dimensions, tolerances, and finished-part quality.
• Confirm materials are correct and sufficient before machining; move material within the department as needed.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, recommend practical solutions, and support junior machinists as experience allows.
• Follow lockout, safety, housekeeping, attendance, and quality requirements.
