About The Position

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Quality Control Technician based out of our Clarksville, TN Quarry to play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our materials in our East Region. This role is responsible for sampling and conducting tests on aggregates to ensure they conform to the appropriate standard test methods.

Requirements

Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance

Detailed oriented and well organized
Self-motivated, able to work independently, and eager to participate in a team setting
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft office suite and relevant software packages
Experience in aggregate testing
PennDOT certified
Can lift up to 80 pounds
Valid driver license
Able to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, for an extended period
Ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
Basic math skills
High school diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

Actively promote safety
Sample and conduct testing on aggregates to ensure compliance with State, local and customer specifications
Maintain a database, document and report information
Promptly and accurately complete testing and report findings to supervisor
Routinely monitor stockpiles for segregation and contamination
Perform daily inspections of the lab and equipment and maintenance as necessary
Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
May be required to travel to other sites
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned
