About The Position

Sizemore, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Statesboro, GA. This role involves performing and coordinating product testing, developing test schedules, and reporting results. The technician will also be responsible for the calibration and maintenance of equipment, reviewing inspection results, and supporting various quality assurance activities. Additionally, the role includes providing technical support to Quality Inspectors and maintaining accurate records. The position requires adherence to safety and quality procedures, with the understanding that other tasks may be assigned. The work environment includes laboratory, production, warehouse, and Quality Control areas, with potential exposure to noise, machinery, bright lighting, test equipment, and seasonal temperature changes. Personal protective equipment is required, and employees must remain alert around moving equipment.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have dependable transportation.
  • Must submit to and pass any required testing.
  • Have within the normal range of hearing and eyesight.
  • Be able to work in harmony with others.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend policies and procedures / rules and regulations written or spoken in English.
  • Must adhere to all safety requirements of Sizemore and any applicable job assignment.
  • Must possess initiative and sound judgement in evaluating and reacting to situations.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Previous Quality Control, testing, or manufacturing experience required.
  • Knowledge of product testing, inspection methods, and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, test procedures, and work instructions.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good mechanical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and provide guidance to Quality Inspectors.

  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and coordinate product testing according to customer requirements, specifications, and test plans.
  • Develop test schedules, track progress, and report test results.
  • Perform or coordinate calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory and inspection equipment.
  • Review inspection and test results and report quality concerns.
  • Support containment, sorting, reinspection, root-cause analysis, and corrective action activities.
  • Assist Quality Engineers with product evaluations, data collection, investigations, testing, and documentation.
  • Provide technical support and work direction to Quality Inspectors.
  • Support incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspection activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate test records, reports, and quality documentation.
  • Follow safety, quality, and company procedures.
