About The Position

The Quality Control Technician II will support the testing and documentation needs of the Quality Control Department during the manufacture and release of Bio-Rad control products. This position will work both independently and in a team-oriented environment. 3rd Shift Work Hours: after 5pm to 1:30am Mon-Fri.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or higher in a science field or equivalent clinical lab experience
3+ years working in QC or a clinical laboratory
Strong knowledge of Quality Systems and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Experience in the use of clinical laboratory techniques and equipment.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data.
Ability to prioritize tasks, remain flexible, manage time effectively and work independently.

Nice To Haves

Experience in running chemistry, hematology, and immunoassay analyzers a plus.
Experience with a LIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot QC laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance and reliable test results.
Adhere to good laboratory practices (GLP), established quality standards, and company policies to maintain compliance and data integrity.
Manage laboratory inventory by ordering supplies and reagents as needed while coordinating and maintaining instrument preventative maintenance schedule.
Collaborate effectively with other departments to support quality objectives, resolve issues, and facilitate efficient workflows.
Review and evaluate assay runs for accuracy, consistency and compliance with Quality Control procedures and specifications.
Accurately document and enter test results into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) as required.
