About The Position

Quality Control Technician II About Site Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. Position Summary We have an opportunity for a Quality Control Technician II to join our team. In this role, you will perform tasks following detailed instructions and established procedures while ensuring compliance with site standards and safety requirements. You will apply technical skills and strong work habits to complete assigned work within your team. This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who can work independently and support team members when needed. Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm Location: Kansas City, MO 100% Onsite

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development with a minimum of 2-4 years of laboratory or pharmaceutical experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Well organized with ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Good Manufacturing Practice experience.
  • Technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, count, sort, label, and organize samples by lot, condition, and orientation for stability study setups or pulls.
  • Coordinate stability study set downs with Stability Coordinators, including preparations and placing samples in appropriate chambers.
  • Perform sample set downs, staging, pulling, and movements.
  • Verify staged and pulled samples as a second person.
  • Coordinate stability shipments and sample destruction.
  • Clean labware, including receiving, organizing, loading and unloading glassware washers, and inspecting for chips or cracks.
  • Execute procedures or methods of increasing complexity with high quality.
  • Review own work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Review peers’ documentation for compliance and remediate minor quality gaps with little guidance.
  • Edit technical documents such as methods, forms, and certificates of analysis with direct guidance.
  • Provide shadowing opportunities for training and orientation.
  • Obtain DEA clearance and participate in controlled substance inventory verification.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
