About The Position

Johnson & Johnson’s Vision team develops vision treatments and products intended to help people protect, correct, and enhance healthy sight throughout life. The Quality Control Technician I is an entry-level support individual contributor who assists staff with Quality Control processes under direct supervision. The role carries out day-to-day laboratory activities, including sample management, supply ordering and receipt, and general housekeeping; supports data review and metrics reporting; and implements risk mitigations and process improvements. Issues and risks are escalated as needed.

The position performs routine quality audits of finished goods and in-process goods and maintains qualification status for assigned test methods. The role is based in Jacksonville, Florida, with travel of less than 5%.

Requirements

• Requires 0–2 years of related experience.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Superior attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine quality audits of finished goods (80%).
• Performs routine quality audits of in-process goods (10%).
• Maintains qualification status for assigned test methods (5%).
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management (5%).
• Supports day-to-day laboratory activities, including sample management, supply ordering and receipt, and general housekeeping, under direct supervision.
• Supports data review and metrics reporting.
• Implements risk mitigations and process improvements under direct supervision.
• Escalates issues and risks as required.
