About The Position

The Quality Control Technician I supports Quality Control laboratory operations in a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical environment. The role manages sample receipt, processing, storage, shipment, and documentation, and collaborates with QC, QA, Manufacturing, Material Management, and Corporate teams to support compliant sample handling and laboratory activities. This is a long-term contract with the possibility of extension.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree plus 2 or more years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma plus 3 or more years of relevant experience.
Experience in QC or biopharmaceutical laboratories; experience in an FDA-regulated environment is preferred.
Experience with LIMS, sample management, and laboratory documentation.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Visio.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of GMP and QC laboratory practices.
Experience in an FDA-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Receive, verify, log, process, and organize samples in LIMS for testing and retention.
Coordinate internal and external sample shipments and manage QC shipping activities.
Maintain sample storage areas through cleaning, restocking, and organization.
Review chain-of-custody forms, logs, and laboratory records.
Support investigations, deviations, and daily or weekly operational updates.
Partner with QC, QA, Material Management, and other teams to support sampling, testing, and disposition activities.
Participate in Lean Lab and Operational Excellence initiatives.
Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
