The Quality Control Tech is responsible for conducting routine inspections throughout the food production process, focusing on finished product quality, regulatory compliance, label accuracy, sanitation, employee GMPs, training adherence, and HACCP standards. The position includes placing products on hold when necessary and promptly communicating quality concerns to both Production and Quality Management teams. The role also provides support to ensure all plant quality functions meet facility and government regulations.

Requirements

  • Ability to conduct routine inspections related to food production: finished product quality, regulatory, compliance, label verification, routine sanitation, employee GMPs, training compliance and HACCP compliance.
  • Ability to place product on hold as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate product quality issues to Production Management and Quality Management.
  • Ability to provide quality support in all aspects of the plant’s quality functions in compliance with facility and government regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), good manufacturing practices (GMPs), and company safety policies.
  • Ability to inspect all phases of plant production operations to ensure overall quality of finished product.
  • Ability to respectfully support and follow direction from management and completes tasks with minimum supervision.
