About The Position

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for leading quality assurance processes within warehouse and logistics operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. This role oversees final inspections of outbound shipments, monitors key performance metrics, investigates discrepancies, and drives corrective actions to reduce errors and improve efficiency. The Specialist serves as a quality subject matter expert, partnering cross-functionally to ensure adherence to company standards, customer specifications, and safety regulations across all warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or quality control
  • Experience in inventory management and material handling environments
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite
  • Proficiency in Excel for reporting and data tracking.
  • Understanding inventory control and logistics processes.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and communication

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control (QC) reviews of all orders that are pulled, packed, and shipped to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct comprehensive final inspections of outbound shipments to verify product quality, packaging integrity, labeling accuracy, and documentation compliance.
  • Validate all shipping documentation, including customer details, carrier information, and regulatory paperwork prior to release.
  • Capture and maintain photographic documentation of pallets, freight conditions, and trailer loading for audit and verification purposes.
  • Track and analyze KPIs including order accuracy, shipment damages, return rates, and quality trends.
  • Investigate discrepancies, shipping errors, and damage claims; perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate recurring quality concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations across warehouse operations. Provide suggested improvements with products, warehousing, labeling, and team member work practices.
  • Train and mentor warehouse associates on quality standards, inspection procedures, documentation requirements, and safety best practices.
  • Partner with Warehouse, Sales, and Logistics teams to resolve quality-related issues and align customer expectations.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
