About The Position
Meyer Truck Equipment has been a leading provider of truck equipment sales and service since 1937. We deliver high-quality solutions for commercial and retail customers across the Midwest. We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Shop Hand to support daily shop and yard operations. This role plays a key part in keeping our facility organized and running efficiently by assisting with vehicle movement, lot organization, and general shop support.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and move heavy items
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Previous shop, warehouse, or lot experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily shop and yard operations
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the lot and work areas
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shop
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles (interior and exterior as needed)
- Move and stage vehicles to support shop workflow
- Assist with vehicle check-in (inspect and verify condition)
- Support technicians and shop staff as needed
- Load, unload, and organize parts and equipment
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and report any issues
- Operate company vehicles for local pickups or deliveries as needed
- Complete basic documentation accurately
